In 2001, the ambitious minds of Michel Laroche and his collaborators carried them beyond the French borders
to take up the challenge of introducing the "French Touch" to the new world. Fascinated by the potential of
the unique climat conditions, the broad variety of grapes and the ancestral culture of the wine, he decided
to create a vineyard in Chile, Viña Punto Alto.
In 2005 Michel Laroche bought 53 hectares of slopes ideally situated in the valley of Casablanca, on the
West of Santiago, towards Valparaiso, at the foot of the mountain El Mahuco which separates the valleys of
Casablanca and Maïpo. In 2006 he acquired a 23 hectares Domain planted with Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot
noir . The Domain was already endowed with a perfectly functional cellar situated immediately next to the
motorway which links Santiago to Valparaiso.
